First Shot I guess by the time anyone reads this, the first test between India and Australia would have already started. That means you can straight away verify my predictions for the series. Yes, that’s right! My crystal ball has shown the future to me and now I am going to share it with everyone. So this what the future holds in store for us - It will be India's greatest victory since the 1983 world cup. India will win the series 3-0 totaly outplaying the poor, inferior, incompetent, unfit and helpless Australians. The men who decimated Pakistan (YAHOO!) will slaughtered by the mighty and powerful Indians. Tendulkar will score two triple hundreds while Srinath and Kumble will both pick up 15 wickets. And Queen Elizabeth will be declared the most beautiful women of the century. WHAT! OK its time for a reality check. Crystal ball or no crystal ball the true fact is that the Indians start the series as the underdogs against the official one-day and unofficial test world champions. Australia has the home advantage, the have the confidence of wins under their belt and they have a lethal bowling attach spearheaded by Messieurs McGrath and Warne. The Indian batting looks great on paper with Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly leading the way but then McGrath does not look at any paper when he is bowling. This is where the importance of the Adelaide Test match becomes obvious. In order to have any impact on the series India must not lose the first match. If Australia is able to establish its supremacy then the series will become a no contest and the Indians will pack up like a house of cards. (Mixed metaphor) So it is time for Sachin's team to take a stand, not be afraid of anything and let the world know that dogs can bite while kangaroos only jump.
